Yanbu Grain Handling Terminal
On Sunday, December 22, 2024, His Excellency the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of SALIC Group, Engineer Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli, inaugurated the Yanbu Grain Handling Terminal project in the city of Yanbu. The project is located at Yanbu Commercial Port and is affiliated with the National Grain Company. It was designed and executed by Haif Trading and Contracting Company, in the presence of several officials from both the public and private sectors.
This strategic project is a cornerstone of the Food Security Program stemming from Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. The Yanbu Grain Handling Terminal boasts a storage capacity of up to 156,000 tons, featuring 12 silos with a total capacity of 96,000 tons, and a 650-meter conveyor belt. The terminal is capable of direct unloading from ships at a rate of 800 tons per hour and has an annual handling capacity exceeding three million tons of grains.
